Who is Gayndah Wesleyan for?

Gayndah Wesleyan is for all people! People of all ages, nationalities, cultures and walks of life are welcome to attend our worship services. We are here to help you move forward in your spiritual journey. Whether you have been in a relationship with Jesus Christ for many years, or are still searching for answers to your questions about Christianity – You are welcome here!

How will I get to know people?

If you are new to town or just passing through Gayndah—as many are, our morning tea’s after our Sunday services are a great way to get to know us.

When are the services held and how do I get there?

Our Church service starts every Sunday at 10am. We are very easy to find on the corner of Bridge Street & Dalgangal Road. Cross the Les Baker Bridge if you are coming from the town centre and you cannot miss us!

How long is a church service?

Our church service goes for approximately 75 minutes (10am-11:15am). Just make sure to leave some time to get to know us after our service over a cup of tea or coffee!

What should I expect in a church service?

Worship services start with singing choruses and hymns usually accompanied by one of our pianists. With Scripture reading, opportunity to join us in prayer and to be prayed for, as well as a children’s story – we enjoy celebrating and worshipping Jesus together. We also hear a message (about 30 mins) usually prepared by our pastor, inspired by the Bible, with an opportunity to respond to the challenges given to us as we close with a final hymn.

How should I dress?

Dress in something that you find comfortable and relaxing. There is no dress standard here, however out of consideration for our church family please dress modestly.

I have more questions, who do I ask?

MARK HENRYPASTOR
Mark and his wife Lesley long to see people walking in freedom from the things in this life that weigh us down. They believe that Jesus desires to walk with us through every circumstance by His Spirit as our comforter, counsellor and teacher and are passionate about the truth of God’s Word applying to our everyday life. Mark was born in upstate New York and met Lesley who was doing an international internship in their local church. After moving back to Australia in 2008 they spent much time in the North Burnett region and Rockhampton before moving to Gayndah in 2021.
